Once I got the build set and a feel for the playstyle I’d need, it still took me an hour of grinding to beat them. On the contrary, it just meant it gave me the opportunity to beat the fight. HOWEVER, this does not mean it carried me through the fight. Eventually, I noticed one strategy/build was getting me farther in the fight than the others. I spent hours going through the fight, trying different strategies, and trying different charm builds. ![]() A great example of the skill concept is the watcher knights fight. But in Hollow Knight, you do have an occasional bullet hell, but even when you do, there’s always a pattern. I’ve noticed a lot of recent modern games when it comes to difficulty basically put you in a bullet hell and half of the difficulty is luck based. I thought this was just another concept lost on the video game industry for the most part. It’s crazy because the difficulty is what makes it fun. But with these amazing things comes difficulty, and Hollow Knight brings it in truckloads (especially with the God Master DLC). From the combat and charm system to the increasingly amazing level design, and, of course, the SPECTACULAR bosses. But after saving up for a switch for so long and realizing it won’t be till June before more get in stock, I finally bought the game for my Xbox. I always wanted to play it, and quite frankly, I am not quite sure why I didn’t get it. Putting it lightly, Hollow Knight is a game I should’ve picked up a long time ago. ![]() If you disagree with something I say, go ahead and talk about it in the comments, but please don't try to start a full-on argument. These are my opinions and experiences with the game. This may be a bit redundant, but play the game if you haven’t.If you haven’t played the game, you’ll wanna play it before reading this. Couple things I gotta say before starting the review.
